CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Authorities are asking the public for information after a man was carjacked and then hit by his own vehicle.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash with injuries July 16 around 10:48 p.m. on Zinc Plant Road. They found a man in his early 40s sitting on the side of the road. Before losing consciousness he was able to tell deputies that he was struck by a vehicle.
The man was flown by helicopter to a Nashville hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.
Investigators determined the victim was driving a white 1995 Ford Explorer. They believe he was carjacked and hit by his own vehicle as the suspect or suspects drove off.
