CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A family member confirmed on Facebook that the body found Friday on Fort Campbell is that of Spc. Brandon David Bertolo, 23.

The post was made after the soldier’s mother, Anita Flores, had been notified. Bertolo had been missing since July 14, and had been considered AWOL.

The cause of death has not been determined, and the case is under investigation by the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division.
