CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A locally-owned cheesecake shop has been flooded with calls and orders from citizens who want to put a smile on first responders’ faces.
On Wednesday, a woman who wishes to remain anonymous entered B’s Cheesecakes at 305 N. Riverside Dr. She said she wanted to order a cheesecake for herself and $100 worth of cheesecakes to be given to local police officers.
The woman called up friends at the police department to tell them to pick up their free treats.
Word of this kind-hearted woman’s generosity quickly spread, and now many other anonymous customers are calling or coming into the shop to contribute.

Bonita Lacey, the owner and operator of B’s Cheesecakes, said 120 cheesecakes have been pre-ordered as of Thursday afternoon.
“It’s been wonderful and heartwarming,” she said. “If it feels this good to me, it must feel good to other people.”
Lacey stressed that none of this was her doing, but entirely due to the kindness of strangers.
The offer has now been opened up to firefighters and EMS personnel as well as police. Any first responder who wants a free cheesecake can simply go to the shop in uniform or present a badge or other form of identification.
On Thursday, several deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office paid a visit to accept the offer.
