A source familiar with the operation told ClarksvilleNow.com that the initiative began last Saturday and will continue through Halloween night. Authorities will conduct searches for anything illegal and make sure offenders are meeting the terms of their supervision.
On the night of Halloween, offenders must keep their lights off and refrain from displaying Halloween decorations. They are also prohibited from giving out candy to trick-or-treaters. Authorities will focus on offenders whose crimes involved children, those with internet crimes, and any aggravated assault convictions.
